Tommy Nelson's
Brave Girls Confidential details the lives of five preteen friends. It gives
your preteen a little taste of what their (fictional) lives are like without too very much detail. For example, we won't see why a divorce is happening, but we'll be able to see how it's dealt with in a family and so on. No "TMI" posts. You do get the basic "I" bit, tho'.
So I'd say it's pretty appropriate for girls ages eight and up. Perhaps a bit younger if your daughter is going through issues or a tough time in life. My daughter Rose is nine and she absolutely loved this book. It's one of her favourites. I think she liked all the characters and the fact that they each have their own interests and so on. She's been inspired to make a video review about the book. I hope you enjoy it!
