So This Just Happened...

So my tooth just sensed that a holiday weekend was coming up, the dentist would be closed for the most part until next Wednesday... and then it figured: let's just be all dramatic and crumple up when she eats a potato chip. OH... and let's not make it one of those "can wait until later" things. Let's expose the nerve and make life interesting, so that everyone has to drop what they're doing and pay attention to me. Diva tooth!

  2. That looks nasty and a couple on the other side look like they could use a good scraping too.
My teeth choose awful times too, New Year's day, Easter long weekend, anytime I'm far away from a dentist...the New Year's Day one got fixed by an emergency dentist at a huge cost, but he was so lovely, I didn't feel a thing and have had no more trouble with that tooth and it's been 7 years now.

    1. The ones on the other side are actually crowns over old silver fillings. So they look black and rotten but that's not what they are.

This tooth lost a crown apparently - it was seven years old. They can't replace it until after the holiday (July 4)

  3. Silver does go black after many years, I should have known, I have a mouthful of them. I'm slowly getting them replaced with crowns but at a rate of one or two a year, it's going to take a while.

    1. Yeah, where the crown meets the gum you will still see a little especially from the back. It is not a foolproof way to protect the teeth. Not ever eating and brushing/ flossing three times a day would be...

  4. Just back from the dentist btw. Only ran me $500. My crown popped off so they roughed up the tooth and set a new one down. Hope it lasts more than 7 years though - I have a lot of teeth.
